Joseph R. Tedeschi

Joe is passionate about helping his clients and their families prepare for not only the positive aspects of life, but also the unexpected.  As a younger man, Joe had a front row seat to how bad advice can truly affect a family.  The impact that poor financial advice had on his mother and father was the motivating factor for Joe to become a financial planner.  He is constantly evolving as an advisor and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor ™ designation, which is the nation’s premier retirement planning credential.  As a CRPC®, Joe is also held to ethical and education standards.   By meeting with, and understanding each client’s unique situation, Joe will create a personalized, goal oriented comprehensive financial plan.  

Since joining Halliday in 2012, Joe has supported his firm’s relationship with the City University of New York as an advisor to CUNY’s base pension and tax deferred annuity plan, servicing multiple campuses.

Joe and his team also work with Local 804, supporting its members

and their families with ongoing financial education and independent advice.

Joe believes in the importance of education and has hosted 100’s of financial workshops for CUNY and Local 804 members.  He’s been asked to speak with members at events ranging from new hire orientations to pre-retirement workshops. With an ever evolving world, Joe is consistently offering timely topics such as estate planning and trusts, multi-generational wealth planning, Identity theft protection, beneficiary planning, social security, long term care, insurance needs, special needs planning, tax efficient savings and distributions strategies, debt reduction strategies, assets allocation, portfolio review and analysis and retirement income planning.

Background and Education:

Joe earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™, from the College for Financial Planning.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Pace University.

Joe holds his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses along with his Insurance License for Life, Health, Disability, Long Term Care, Fixed and Variable Annuities in NY and NJ

Additional information:

Joe is blessed to have a wonderful and supportive family.

He currently sits on several boards for CUNY institutions and likes to pay it forward by working with and mentoring students.

He is an avid golfer and enjoys staying physically active through CrossFit and running.

He was an Academic All American and Captain of his Collegiate Football Team.

In addition, Joe played two seasons of professional American football in Europe, for the Bergamo Lions, in Bergamo, Italy. He served as a captain for two seasons in 2002 to 2003, winning the Italian Super Bowl and Euro Bowl Champion in 2002.
